Announcement Concerning Services

Good afternoon, Church:

In light of the revised guidance from the Centers for Disease Control, our government’s recommendations for public safety, and discussions among church leadership, we will be canceling Wednesday evening and Sunday evening Bible Study services over the next few weeks (until the restrictions recommended by the CDC are lifted). This is a decision we have made after a great deal of prayer, discussion, and reflection and we eagerly look forward to restoring our Wednesday evening services and Sunday evening Bible Study services as soon as possible.

At this time, we are still planning to meet for Sunday School and Sunday Morning Worship (10:00 a.m. for Sunday School and 11:00 a.m. for Sunday Morning Worship). We encourage all church members to the follow the general guidelines discussed previously about coming to service provided in prior communications (if you’re sick or concerned about getting sick, please remain at home and view the Facebook Live streaming of service; in addition, we are temporarily suspending handshake and greeting times in service). In the event that we are forced to cancel Sunday morning services in the future, we will notify you by announcement on our Facebook page (similar to this announcement), notice on the church website, church prayer chain announcement, and through posting on the WKYT Closings and Announcements.

We would also like to share that we are now streaming our services via Facebook live. You can find both the Live Streaming of services and the recordings of prior services on our Facebook page as well as on our church’s website (www.swisscolonybaptistchurch.org).

As always, please let me know if you have any questions. May the Lord richly bless each one of you.

In Christian Love,

Dr. Jake Brock, Pastor
Swiss Colony Baptist Church
